Knox County Sheriff’s New Release

Knox County SheriffOn February 7th the Knox County Sheriff’s Office was contacted by the United States Marshall’s Service. The U.S. Marshall’s had information that a Federal Fugitive from Justice in Ohio was staying in the Creighton, Ne area. A quick investigation was made and the information was confirmed that the fugitive was indeed in the Creighton area. After a short surveillance on the residence, a felony traffic stop was made three miles west of Creighton, NE on Highway 59 by the Sheriff’s Office and U.S. Marshall’s. A felony traffic stop was used because the fugitive had run over a police officer in Ohio who tried to arrest him. Zachary Charles Osborn of 4410 Geiger Rd., Millersport, Ohio was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Knox County Jail where he is being held on Federal charges of Armed Robbery and Failure to appear as well state of Ohio charges for Armed Robbery. The investigation also revealed that the local family that Osborn was staying with was unaware that Osborn was a federal fugitive from justice.
