Knox County Sheriff’s Report

knox_county_courthouse (Small)On December 14, 2013, the Knox County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a theft from Brett Fuchtman. Brett reported that he is missing two saddles. The first saddle is a Corriente Wade saddle approximately 1 year old, two tone brown with a rawhide saddle horn and tapadero stirrups. The second saddle is an older brown King of Texas saddle with a cracked seat. Brett also reported that a toolbox with syringes and ear tag equipment was also taken at the same time. On December 16, 2013 a report was received of a one vehicle accident 6 ½ miles north of Crofton on Hwy 121. A 2011 Ford Crown Vic driven by Eric Kloster and owned by Nebraska State Patrol was northbound when he struck a cow. Damage to vehicle was at least $7,000. No injuries were reported.

On December 17, 2013 Matthew A Krupicka, age 27 of 202 Sherman St Winnetoon, Ne. was arrested by Investigators of the Nebraska State Patrol on a Knox County Warrant charging him with three counts of distribution of Marijuana. The arrest warrant was issued after an investigation by The Snare Drug Task Force, the Nebraska State Patrol, and The Knox County Sheriff’s Office. Additional charges of Possession with intent to Distribute Marijuana and Destruction of Evidence are being submitted to the Knox County Attorney. Krupicka is currently out on Bond of $35,000.00 10 % to appear in the Knox County Court.

On December 19, 2013 at about 10:26 P.M., the Knox County Sheriff Office received a report of a one vehicle accident between 513 and 512 Ave on Hwy 12. The reporting party advised the Sheriff’ Office that they did not see anyone around the vehicle. The reporting party then called back and advised the Sheriff’s Office that the driver was taken to a residence in Lynch, Ne and was not hurt. The reporting party did not know the drivers name. Upon arrival, a white 1999 Dodge Caravan belonging to Tamera Smith of Lynch, Ne was found in field with extensive damage. It appeared that the vehicle was west bound on Hwy 12 when it entered the east bound ditch, sideswiped a utility pole and went through a barbed wire fence and came to rest in the field.  The Dodge caravan was totaled. The Sheriff’s Office tried to make contact with the owner of the vehicle but the owner could not be located.   A report will be sent the the Knox County Attorney’s Office requesting charges be filed for leaving the scene of an accident.
