Area teams traveled to Wausa on Saturday for the 11/12 Year Old Baseball Tournament.  Six teams started playing on both fields at 8:30AM with Wausa playing Bloomfield on the softball field.  Bloomfield gave Wausa their first and only loss through the day.  After an hour break the boys played back to back the rest of the day.

Wausa dominated the rest of the day beating Winside, Randolph and then playing Bloomfield again coming back with the win.  Then on to play the team that dominated the tournament to that point, Osmond.  To come home first Wausa had to beat Osmond twice.

The boys were exhausted by the last game, but muscled through their weariness to come home in 1st place.  Osmond took the 2nd place and Bloomfield 3rd.

The tournament went on without a hitch thanks to the volunteers running concessions, umpires, coaches and parents.  Congratulations to Wausa for their 1st Place finish.
