Lincoln Township Library, in conjuntion with the Countryside Villa, has started a new outreach program for the residents of the Villa. Kathy Olson, Activities Director of the Villa, and Virginia Lindquist, Director of the library, select books from the library shelves once a month for the residents to check out. Residents have a wide range of books to chose from, many being large print.
Many of the residents had been avid readers and users of the library in the past and missed their visits to the library. As many of the residents of the Villa have difficulty with steps, and the steps at the library precluded them from using the library, this program has again afforded them the opportunity to use the resources of the library. The program has become a very popular and rewarding program for all involved.
