On May 6, 2010, the Knox County Sheriff’s Office along with the Crofton Fire and Rescue Department, responded to the scene of a two vehicle accident, 6 miles north of Crofton, on Highway 121. Robert Yonke, driving a semi-tractor southbound, was attempting a left turn into a private driveway, from Highway 121, when a collision occurred with a Ford Focus, driven by Christina Schroeder, who was also traveling southbound on Highway 121. No serious injuries were reported. Seat belts were in use.
On May 9, 2010 a report was received of a vehicle accident near the residence of Robert Reisz, of Creighton. A vehicle left the roadway and struck some farm equipment before crashing through a fence. Driver and vehicle left the scene. The vehicle and driver have been located and the investigation continues.
On May 9, 2010, a report was received of vandalism to a building in the Village of Winnetoon. A building owned by Francis Wagner suffered damage from a shotgun blast.
