Even though the snow pack is at 12 inches at many places, the track season has started in Wausa.
The Wausa students will begin practice but because there is no access to the track they will train on the streets in town and on the Golf Course road.
This is a reminder to those traveling around town and near Wausa to keep your eyes out for our future track stars as they start training for the upcoming track season.

What is the Gold Course? Do you even proof what you are typing?
It is suppose to be Golf Course thank you for pointing it out. I typed this article on my Cell Phone so I must have “fat fingered” the word. Thank you for your consideration.
You obviously have never read the Wausa Gazette… They ALWAYS have errors, spelling, story details etc…
At least the story details are correct on this site!!! Keep up the good work Josh! I knew what you were talking about!
Your new term, “The GOLD Road”, should really be named (and you were so close to fat fingering that extra word) “The GOLD MEDAL Road”, named for the throngs of Wausa Viking Track and Field members who have burned up many a ‘tenny runner’ slipping on the gravel and dodging the wind blown tumbleweeds!
These student athletes have taken their learned skills from that road directly into competition where many a gold medal was won. So, calling it the Golf Road, NO… an error in typing, you should understand that by now. The GOLD MEDAL Road, YES…
I’d even help to pay for the sign in honor of our T and F athletes.
Gold Medal Road, I like it, THANKS Josh. I hope the T/F coaches pick up on it and give that training facility its true name and honor.
Josh,
For everything that you have done and been through. I do believe you have the right to make a mistake once in awhile. I wonder if that person who likes to point out errors ever made a mistake in their life………………….
