Wausa Medal Winners
The Wausa Speech Team hosted the Wausa Invitational Meet on Saturday, February 13. Fourteen other teams from the area competed in both varsity and novice divisions. Wausa performed extremely well in the tough competition.
In Varsity competition. Leslie Kumm, 1st in Persuasive Speaking, 4th in Serious Prose; Ryan Schumacher and Steven Ortmeier, 6th in Duet Acting. The OID team of Laura Claussen, Nikki Weigert, Kristina Lange, Faith Nelson, and Kayla Munter placed 4th. The Varsity Team placed 6th overall.
In Novice competition Gavin Friedrich, 1st in Serious Prose; Marcus Claussen, 3rd in Serious Prose; Alex Cunningham, 1st in Informative Speaking; Abbi Hegge, 5th in Informative Speaking. The Novice Team placed 5th overall.
