On February 14, 2010, the Knox County Sheriff’s Office, along with the Bloomfield Fire and Rescue, responded to another weather related accident. The accident occurred on 543rd AVE, when two vehicles collided in the zero visibility weather. Jeff Surface, Bloomfield, was injured in the accident and was transported to the hospital by the Bloomfield Rescue Squad. The other driver, Joshua Lyon, Battle Creek, was not injured.
