Winter Weather has affected many activities this Christmas Eve and Christmas. The following churches have announced changes to their services due to the weather:
- Evangelical Covenant: Christmas Services Postponed until Saturday 5:00 PM
- Golgatha Lutheran: Services Canceled tonight and tomorrow – Sunday School Program will be Sunday 10:30 AM
- Thabor Lutheran: Both Services canceled-Christmas Eve service will be Sat. 7 PM
- United Methodist: Christmas Services Cancelled

A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 6 am CST Saturday. Some light snow and flurries will be likely through late afternoon before steadier snow develops across the area. Snow is then expected to increase in intensity overnight with periods of moderate to heavy snow possible tonight into Friday morning. Light snow will then continue through Friday night before tapering to flurries Saturday morning.
Northwest winds of 20 to 30 mph with gusts to 35 mph are expected today. Winds may increase to 25 to 35 mph tonight and into the day on Friday with gusts to 45 mph.
This winter storm will have a crippling effect on travel and activities from tonight through Friday night. Along with significant snowfall… strong winds will produce blowing and drifting snow leading to widespread reduced visibilities and near blizzard conditions. Snow drifts of several feet are expected by Saturday morning from drifting snow.
