However, one simple question: What do "safe swings" have that make them safer? I thought maybe each 'swinger' wearing some football gear would be the ultimate safe swing! Looking for another project that would have great dividends on that playground??? Maybe the Parent Council would lower those two basketball supports to 8' so the kids could learn how to shoot a basketball vs. heaving it. (Those high baskets create more learned, bad habits, {the keyword is "Shoot",} than you may think.) Either that or buy a dozen or more 6" diameter basketballs. I have other suggestions on how to create more play time there that doesn't require more than a small investment of energy and a few funds. That's another subject for later if anyone is interested.
