Register Tapes for Education

By on October 5, 2009 with 1 Comment

Register Tapes fro EducationWausa Elementary announced that you can help buy educational equipment.  It is really the easiest fundraiser as you only need to save your register slip every time you buy groceries at Main Street Grocery in Wausa.

These slips are turned in and used to purchase educational equipment such as books, teaching aides, sports equipment and much more!  The program started on September 1st and unlike other years will continue through March.

Last year the slips were redeemed for several indoor games as well as equipment needed for outdoor games.  You can drop off your slips as Wausa Public School in the Elementary or High School and at the Senior Citizen Center.

If you have any questions please contact Tish Hennings at the school (402.586.2440).

I think it would be a big benefit to you to have a box at Main Street Grocery for folks to drop their receipts in. Esp. for those without kids or grandkids in school, it would be convenient. We take them home, they lay around, then eventually get tossed. It is a great program, and more people could be involved! I think they used to do it this way.
