Knox County Sheriff’s Report

Knox County SheriffOn October 10, 2009, the Knox County Sheriff’s Office investigated a non-injury two vehicle accident, about 1 ½ miles north of Bloomfield.  Daniel McCallum, Hamilton, VA, was northbound on 544 Ave, when he made a u-turn in front of a grain truck, driven by Anthony Kauth, Bloomfield, who struck the other vehicle causing major damage to the front end.  Both vehicles were driven from the scene.  Seat belts were in use at the time of the accident. 

On October 17, 2009, the Knox County Sheriff’s office investigated a report of vandalism to a mailbox, belonging to Bruce Zimmerman.  Zimmerman said that he had heard a loud vehicle the night before.
 
A report was received from Gayle Neuhaus, that sometime during the week of October 4th through the 11th, someone vandalized some of the wood carved figures by the Winnetoon Mini Mall.
