An invitation is being extended to all women of all ages in the Wausa area. On November 14th, the Wausa Women’s Ministry will host their first-ever “Women’s One-Day Retreat”. It will be held from 8am-4pm at Thabor Lutheran Church in the new fellowship hall. The basis of the teaching for the day is entitled “Loving Well”, and through video, women of all ages will hear sound teaching from best-selling author and Bible teacher Beth Moore.
According to planning committe co-chair Shelly Story, “The Wausa Women’s Ministry is a group of nine women from four area churches, who have come together with the desire of gathering women in Christian fellowship, to grow and learn together in Christ.”
The day will start at 8am with registration until 8:30am. The study portion of the day will run from 8:30am-4pm. The event will include praise and worship, song, prayer, and four DVD lessons played throughout the day, with discussion groups following each lesson. There will be a light breakfast bar, a catered lunch by Sally’s, snacks, gift bags to each attendant, and door prizes.
The committee invites women of all ages to join them for a fun-filled day of learning how to love well. Beth Moore will inspire attendants in new ways and they will leave with a new sense of God’s love for them. Attendants will enjoy fun and fellowship with other women; they will laugh, perhaps shed a few tears, eat great food, make new friends, and enjoy the
old ones. “It promises to be a day women won’t want to miss”, says committee co-chair LaNell Kumm.
