Time Falls Back Sunday
Daylight-saving time ends at 2 AM on Sunday. In the past, daylight-saving time began in April and ended in October. However, an energy bill signed by President George W. Bush on August 8, 2005 extended daylight-saving time as part of a long-term solution to the nation’s energy problems.

Schwan’s Fundraiser Success
On Friday, October 16th, two Schwan’s trucks pulled into the Wausa School parking lot to complete the Elementary Schwan’s fundraiser. The elementary families did a great job. The Wausa Parent Council earned $1,877.32 from Schwan’s. Parent Council also received about $200 in donations. All of the money will go towards safer school swings.

Pumpkin Carving Contest
The Wausa Parent Council will host their first annual Pumpkin Carving Contest. Kids can bring their carved or decorated pumpkins to school on Thursday, Oct. 29th.
Judging will take place on Friday, Oct. 30th and those participating will be able to take their pumpkins home also on Friday.
