The Alpha Lambda Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma International met at Thabor Lutheran Church in Wausa for the first meeting of the new school year. The Wausa and Crofton ladies served a light supper, followed by a presentation by Diane Diekes, the owner of Diane’s Greenhouse of Fordyce.
Connie Anderson, president, presided over the regular business meeting. A report about the International conference in Seattle was given and the year’s schedule was discussed. Members from Wausa were Karen Peters, Connie Vanness, Connie Anderson and Robbi Johnson.
The next outing will be October 18th, when the chapter attends “Play it Again, Sam” at the Yankton Playhouse. The November meeting will be a presentation by Nebraska Humanities Council, with the public invited. Ms. Charolette Endorf will speak on “Riding the Orphan Train. Please plan to join us November 17th at First Trinity Church in Bloomfield for this program.
