Phones are starting to ring and the committee is meeting weekly to prepare for the Annual Wausa Smorgasbord. This year the Smorgasbord will be Saturday, October 24th, 2009.
This is an annual Swedish tradition here in Wausa. It takes a lot of help and cooperation but the community always works together for a successful night. The committee has begun calling the community for help working and preparing food. So when your phone rings, please say yes! Your help is much appreciated!! The money raised is given back to the community for local improvements and scholarships.
This year’s committee co-chairmen are Mary Anderson & Joni Burns. Other committee members are Kathy Hennings, Bev Johnson, JoAn Kumm, JoAnn Wamberg, Vicki Critchley, Melia Kinkaid and Karla Koehler. Please feel free to call any committee member if you have questions or concerns.
Tickets can be purchased in advance at $10.00 for adults and $5.00 for children at Commercial State Bank, 586-2266; Main Street Grocery; 586-2224; or Cruetz Drug Store, 586-2552. Tickets will also be available at the door for $12.00. Worker tickets may be purchased at Peters Hardware.
