On September 12, 2009, a report was received of a one vehicle accident on Highway 84, west of Center. Pete Pavlik, Verdigre, driving a Ford F-150 pickup, went off the road and rolled into the ditch. Pavlik was taken to Creighton Hospital by the Verdigre Rescue Squad, with minor injuries. The vehicle was totaled.
On September 18, 2009, the Knox County Sheriff’s Office investigated the theft of a riding lawn mower, taken from the K&K building, east of Bloomfield, on Highway 84 and 545th Road. The mower was a dark green Lawn General.

On September 20, 2009, a report was received of mailbox vandalism on 55oth Avenue, northwest of Crofton. A mailbox, owned by Lyle Tramp, was destroyed by shotgun blast.
On September 20, 2009, a report was received of a stolen ATV, from Anthony Hoffman, of Crofton. The ATV is described as a green Yamaha Big Bear 400, and was taken from the Devil’s Nest area.
