It is my pleasure to welcome parents of grades 7-12 students to Wausa Public Schools 1-1 laptop learning initiative. We here at Wausa are grateful for your support in this important endeavor for our teachers students, parents and district patrons.
Our Bootcamp will be held Sunday, September 27th. Students with last names beginning with A-K will be at the 4-6 PM Bootcamp, and students in with last names beginning with L-Z will be at the 7-9 Pm Bootcamp. Students must bring their 25.00 yearly deposit and a parent or guardian in order to receive their laptop. It was thought that the students would pay 20.00 per semester, but the cost has been brought down to a 25.00 yearly fee.
Students who are at the bootcamp will receive their folders with information pertinent to them about their laptop. Students and parents will also be given information in mini-workshops covering plagiarism, rules and regulations regarding care and maintenance of laptops, online safety. Once students and parents have signed waivers stating that they know the rules, they will receive their laptops on Monday.
If you cannot make that date on Sunday, Their will be a makeup date on September 28th at 4:00 for those who cannot make it Sunday night. Students will not be allowed their laptops until they come with a parent or guardian. Thank you, and we hope to see you all there on Sunday, September 27th.
