For the second year locals will host a threshing bee near the Bloomfield Airport. Scott Frevert and Shonn Enders will host the event at Mr. Enders residence outside of Bloomfield. This event is the first in the area and this year promises to be a lot of fun and educational.
Everyone is welcome to the threshing bee on Saturday, August 29th. For a map to the Ender’s place please click here. For more information contact Scott Frevert in Wausa or Shonn Enders in Bloomfield.

FREVERT – ENDRES THRESHING BEE 2009 WAS A HUGE SUCCESS ON SAT. MANY LOCALS STOPPED BY TO SEE THE MANY ACTIVITIES GOING ON. ALONG WITH THRESHING, THERE WERE MANY HORSE DRAWN IMPLEMENTS AS WELL. SEVERAL ANTIQUE TRACTORS AND EVEN SEVERAL PEOPLE FROM BLOOMFIELDS GOOD SAMARITAN WERE THERE TO SHARE IN THE FESTIVITIES OF THE DAY. THE OLDER GENERATION RIVALED IN HOW TIME HAS CHANGED BUT HOW THE YOUNGER FOLKS LOVE TO HEAR ABOUT THE OLD DAYS. THE WHOLE DAY WAS WRAPPED UP WITH A LIVE BAND AND GREAT FOOD. WHAT A WONDERFUL COUNTY WE LIVE IN.
Most interesting. Oh, how I remember those days!!!! Great to have this on internet. Thanks
