A storm moved through the area last night causing a severe thunderstorm warning to launch early this morning until 3:00 AM. The storm produced hail starting about 2:20 AM. Moving through the area it dumped heavy rain for a short period and then moved to the southeast.
Enjoy the video taken from the Downtown Webcam at around 2:47 AM right after the storm moved through Wausa.

Thanks for the video. It’s fun to watch, from a distance. We are starting our monsoon season in Phoenix. I saw 8 to 10 drops on my windshield today; the monsoon may have passed.
Jay, are you sure it isn’t Mongoose season? With that number of droppings on your windshield you could have your origins messed up, no pun. Stay cool down there if possible. The only thunder and lightning you may see this time of the year comes from the end of the barrel of a .357!
