A northeast Nebraska man who left the area with his wife and children after being questioned on domestic-abuse allegations has been sentenced to prison. A storm moved through the area last night causing a severe thunderstorm warning to launch early this morning until 3:00 AM. The storm produced hail starting about 2:20 AM. Nebraska health officials are reporting a sharp spike in the number of rabies-infected animals this year.
