Wausa Hits the BigTime

By on May 7, 2009 with 4 Comments

Wausa from Google Street ViewA funny car came through Wausa and most of the area.  This car was the Google Maps vehicle that takes pictures 360 degrees as it drives down the road.  Wausa was caught possibly last fall or whenever the Bank had workers on the roof.

You can zip down the main road in Wausa and find all sorts of local celebrities unaware their picture was being taken.

Whoever thought that being ‘googled’ would be a cool? On the downside, all of those alums that like to come back and check out the community they left behind decades ago–well, maybe they just saved fuel-cash. On the upside, it keeps their memories alive!
Thanks to Josh for sharing this.

Thank You very much for posting this!
Can’t begin to tell you how many wonderful memories this has triggered just taking the “virtual tour” of Main Street and the route through Wausa!
Seeing this was a refreshing respite from sitting in the heat and drab desert scenery of Doha Qatar. Springtime in Wausa is still the best!

Congrats. also to the class of 2009. You all have so very much ahead of you. Enjoy every fleeting minute of it!
