What are the differences between 1s, 2nd and third degree assault. Did he teach jr. high.
Hoffman is listed as a math teacher at Bloomfield Community Schools’ junior-senior high. Bloomfield Principal Kim Lingenfelter says a substitute teacher is filling in for Hoffman this week. She declined to comment on whether Hoffman is still employed at the school or whether he has been placed on leave.
We hope this doesn’t turn out to be like some of those situations that are real tragic. I guess that’s why this one is of a lesser degree, at least for today.
I know the family and although I do not agree with his actions I am still praying for their family…
It sounds like his prayers should come in the form of a good lawyer according to some of the details that are flying around this corner of the state. As #3 says, it is hoped that a lesser degree will resolve any pain and suffering, at least for the young lady.
Don’t jump to any conclusions yet. Some of you have short memories. Does anyone remember the teacher at Hartington Public who was accused of sexual assualt? In that case, it was found that the girl was making up the accusations.
I don’t know whether he did or didn’t, but don’t assume he’s guilty already. It’s completely unfair that a person’s career can be ruined before any justice is found.
Thats the problem with everything, people just love to gossip and spread rumors. If he did it he should be found guilty and if not look at the damage this has already caused.
He admitted it when he was areested according to other news releases plus if you look at the story it says “At the home, investigators seized evidence consistent with statements given by the victim.”
No. 6-7 already have an insight into the grand jury indictment? People love to socially network (gossip) on nearly any topic you throw out there. Considering the horrific event in California, and a Sunday School teacher no less, he couldn’t have had any worse timing! It doesn’t sound to me as I read the responses that anyone is hanging anybody more that the defendant has done to himself.
I’d like to think that each of us would be praying for a positive resolve here. The negative cast that has already been placed upon a shared district in so many ways, reflects on all of us. Sometimes it takes two to create an event like this and maybe the evidence will show this in due time. In any case people like to respond and I don’t consider this media format to be considered a rumor-mill. We can only react to what the newspapers write, and even then it becomes a crap shoot.
