If you saw three people popping in and out of businesses last week taking pictures and talking to the locals and wondering what they were up to — they were enjoying a day on the Shannon Trail! Laurie Larsen – Shannon Trail President Bill Wiese – professional photographer and Linda Wuebben writer for the Norfolk Daily News took to the trail and sought out the coffee shops and meeting places of the locals and “characters” along the Shannon Trail. The best reception had to be in Wausa at the Viking Lumber Yard.
Bill Wiese had mentioned to the coffee goers that meet there, that we might be stopping in on Friday morning to take a few pictures of our local celebrities and community leaders. Little did we know we would be greeted by the group wearing ties for the occasion!
Wausa you really made us feel special and I love the saying that spurted out from one of the characters at the Viking Lumber coffee table — “If there’s nothing fun going on in Wausa — we make our own fun!”
