The Wausa Community Foundation continues to build there goal of a $200,000 endowment by this August. The endowment continues to grow year after year and also provides grants to community projects. Last year the community library, Wausa Team-Mates and the Closeup Program received money from the endowment.
To date the project has received over $134,000 from donations and has received matching grants from the Robert and Jeannette Hunt Challenge of $40,000. This Challenge provides a 3 to 1 match for funds.
The group is $1000 from receiving their next $5000 from the Hunt Challenge after receiving generous donations from Commercial State Bank and Wausa Insurance Agency.
