On November 5, 2008, a report was received of a two vehicle accident 4 ¾ miles north of Crofton, on Highway 121. A 2005 Chevrolet Impala, driven by Jacob Murphy, Crofton, was attempting to pass a 1979 Ford pickup, driven by Jesse Augustin, also of Crofton. The two vehicles collided when the Augustin pickup was attempting to turn into a private driveway. Damage to the Murphy vehicle was estimated to be at least $4500. Damage to the Augustin vehicle was estimated to be at least $1500. There were no injuries.
On November 8, 2008, a report was received of a one vehicle accident, northwest of Verdigre, on 882nd Road. A 1996 Pontiac, driven by Charlene Sukup, Crofton, went off the roadway into a ditch. Sukup was taken to the Lundberg Memorial Hospital, in Creighton, with minor injuries. The vehicle was extensively damaged.
On November 3, 2008, a report was received of a two vehicle accident, about a mile north of Creighton, on Highway 13. A northbound 1997 Chevrolet, owned and driven by Wes Eisenmann, Creighton, was struck in the rear by a 1984 Chevrolet, owned by Rodney and Vicki Belgum, Creighton, and driven by Vincent Coffin also of Creighton, as the Eisenmann vehicle slowed down to turn into a driveway. Both vehicles received over $1000.00 in damage. The Creighton Police Department assisted in the accident investigation.
