Hey pa dey! (Hi to you!) from the Smorgasbord Committee. As the date draws near, final touches are being done to be ready for the delicious feast of Swedish foods. Can’t you just taste those hometown Swedish meatballs or potato sausage? What about the spicy cold meats, fresh homemade breads, or creamy scalloped potatoes?
All of that plus much more, and then top it off with ostakaka or rice pudding. To enjoy all of this, be sure to call a friend and go to enjoy the Smorgasbord.
Swedish costumes and recipes are available for workers or food preparers to pick up at Main St Grocery.
Cristi Munter, Mary Anderson, and the bank have the menu for delivered meals. Just call: Cristi 586-2351 or Mary 586-2867 and they will circle all the goodies that you would like to enjoy. We will then deliver it to your door on the evening of the Smorgasbord.
Remember to circle Saturday, October 25th on your calendar! Skynda Pa (hurry up) and get those tickets purchased at Main St Grocery, Creutz Drug Store or Commercial State Bank. You can choose to eat at 5, 6, or 7 p.m. See add in paper for prices.
Workers, be sure to get your tickets at Peters Hardware. They can be purchased at half price. If anyone is unable work or prepare food and would like to make a donation to the Smorgasbord please contact one of the committee members. If you have not been called yet, we are still calling and looking for a few more volunteers to ensure we have enough cooks and workers, please call Cristi or Mary. Thank you to all of you who have already agreed to help.
Var Sa God! Komm til bords (Please come to the table) for the many luscious Swedish foods at the Wausa Smorgasbord.

Congratulations to the Swedes still left in Wausa to carry on this annual tradition. The small town still offers a cohesive relationship that cannot be found in the larger cities. Keep up the great work.
