Labor Day Celebration 2008

By on September 3, 2008 with 2 Comments

The Wausa Labor Day Committee had another wonderful weekend in Wausa. The weather was warm, dry and windy but was what you would expect for the last summer hurrah.

Saturday had some new events added including a bath tub race that proved a lot of fun to watch, but exhausting to be in. Also, instead of the Street Dance the committee decided to shake it up with a Hawaiian Luau.

The big day was Sunday with the normal events including the start of the morning with the Fireman’s Breakfast. The Car Show had increased its numbers with over 140 entries and a very nice selection of vehicles to gaze at. A new event added to the mix was a hole in one competition held at the softball park.

A very nice weekend with many events including some refreshing new ones for everyone to enjoy. A very big thank you goes out to the Labor Day Committee and the Community Club members for all their hard work and dedication for Wausa.
