HELP FILL THE “SCHOOL BUS”…

By on August 6, 2008 with No Comments

Fill the School BusThe community is being asked to help ‘Fill the School Bus’ with school supplies for the area’s needy children in the Elementary Grades for this, 2008-2009 school year.  These supplies assist not only at the beginning of the school year, but throughout both semesters.

The SCHOOL BUS is located in the lobby at  the Commercial State Bank with additional ‘drop boxes’ located at the Wausa Golden Liviing Center and the Wausa Child Support Call Center.

Donated items may include: #2 pencils (soft lead), scissors, erasers, crayons, glue sticks, bottle glue (rubber cement and white glue), washable markers, colored pencils, protractors (not to include a John Deere), compass (plastic only), wide lined 70 count notebooks, ball point pens, 3×5 cards ruled or plain, antibacterial hand gel, facial tissues, highlighters, and pocket folders.

This project is sponsored by the Wausa School Parent Council and the Wausa Golden Living Center.  Together, they are hoping that each of you will take some time to check your own unused inventories of school-related supplies, or if you happen to be shopping and notice an item or two that fits in this list.

Thank You!

Disclaimer:  This is not an actual sized school bus!
