Hello from all of us here at The Villa. The Holiday season is upon us. Just a week and a half till Thanksgiving and then on to the hustle and bustle of the Christmas season. This time of the year, most of us are guilty of not celebrating the reason of the season, to thank God for all of his wonderful blessing He has bestowed on us.
Last weeks hi-lites were: Monday we loaded the van (actually 3 times) and we went to see the “sights” of Wausa. The mammoth mound of corn that continues to grow up near Cenex, the new Dala horse, the “ship” or maybe it’s just a boat just a block north of us and then on to the Woodlawn cemetery to see the sculptured headstone of Lowell, Delmar and Carle Johnson. That is quite the headstone and a sight to see.
We didn’t know there was so much to see in our small town. The tenants enjoy the chance to get out and about.
Tuesday, we had the Kindergartener’s here from the local school. They are to joy to have come in. They made turkeys with the tenants. We also enjoyed juice and cookies that the kids had made and decorated themselves. Thanks to all the kids and the teachers.
Thursday we enjoyed a visit from the local Girl Scout Brownies. They did a craft of turkeys also. The Girl Scouts is a wonderful organization for young girls. They get a chance to do fun activities and learn new adventures. Thanks to Sally for giving of her time and talents to be a leader for these girls. You do a wonderful job!
We have a new face here at the Villa. A lot of you probably already know who she is. She is a very pleasant person and comes from Wausa. (Formerly from Magnet, when I was growing up). We welcome her to The Countryside Villa. Stop in and say hello to her and the rest of the clan, and have a cup a coffee. We all enjoy the company.
As for now, have a great week and remember the reason of the season.
