Here we are in November already. Halloween has past, Thanksgiving is fast approaching and before you know it, Christmas and the New Year will be here!! Where has 2007 gone??
Last Wednesday, we celebrated Halloween with a costume party and games. Staff participated in the fun, as Jean was dressed as a ghost, Barb was dressed for the Charleston and I came straight out of the 70’s with a hippie costume complete with pink hair. I got a couple of the gals to dress up also. Dorothy E is very “becoming” in black hair!! And Donna (with all her creativity) was donned with “masked eyes” and horns. I think the devil was coming out in her. Aina joined in on the fun later and put on a clown wig, bow tie and glasses for the trick or treaters. What a fun day we had! For our games I had the tenants guess the number of candy corn in the vase. Our winner was Donna P. Her guess was only one (1) corn off. Congratulations Donna! We also played a few games of bingo and “Touchy-Feely”. Everyone got to reach into the Witches pot and touch and feel items in the pot, then guess what was in there. Phyllis was our winner of that game. She guessed three items. For lunch we enjoyed “Rotten Apple Punch,” pumpkin crispy bars and “Edible Eyeballs”. Yummy! Thanks go out to Jean and Barb for dressing up and making it a fun day for the tenants.
We also celebrated a couple of birthdays last week. Phyllis and Rosie both celebrated their special days with family and friends. Happy Birthday to both of you.
As for now, have a great week and enjoy each day as it comes!
