How do you feel about newcomers?

LINCOLN – A new survey of rural Nebraskans suggests they’re not opposed to outsiders, just indifferent. About 31 percent of those surveyed for the 11th annual Nebraska Rural Poll agreed that newcomers to their communities improve the quality of life there, while 25 percent disagreed. But a whopping 44 percent had no opinion. Rural sociologist Randy Cantrell says that suggests that many people are ambivalent about new people in town.
